Practice the KNM exam —

The KNM exam (Knowledge of Dutch Society) is part of the integration exam in the Netherlands. This exam tests whether you have sufficient knowledge of Dutch society, history, culture, rights and laws. It is mandatory for most people who want to integrate in the Netherlands.

The official KNM exam consists of 45 multiple-choice questions with three answer options (A, B or C). You must choose one correct answer per question. On this platform you practice with more than 450 validated questions divided over 10 practice exams, so you can practice thoroughly and efficiently.

You have 40 minutes to complete the KNM exam. On average it takes 25–30 minutes to fill in. It is a computer test that you take at an official DUO exam centre.

The best preparation is to regularly practice with real exam questions, like on this platform. Practice a few minutes every day, learn from your mistakes, and focus on the topics where you still make errors.

To pass you must answer at least 27 of the 45 questions correctly (60%). The higher you score, the more certain you can be that you will pass. On this platform you see your score per theme after completion, so you know exactly where you still need to practice.

In principle you may take the KNM exam multiple times. However, there are costs associated with each exam moment. The better your preparation, the greater the chance that you pass the first time.
